Hello!After almost
four weeks of getting my education in this place
I will now show you what I know about
SMSAso far!
(
my ideas and view of this school will change after more time)
Basically here,
there is
no time to mess around. You see people doing homeworks everwhere, even if you are a lazy piece of crap before.
Time is precious.
The main thing you see people carrying around is a
ring-file and
a bag.Your class starts at
7.45pm till the afternoon at an
unfixed time.7.30pm is your attendance taking.
You have
two Sets of subject before recess,
two after recess and
one set after lunch, where the time varies with different teachers.
Overall is
five subjects sets. You however are allowed to take four, which gives one empty slot as
Private Study, aka
PS.PS is the time where you 'study' with your friends or do homework and get something to eat.
They also have
lockers for you to rent. It cost around
$50 for two years, best shared with your mates.
The
MPP and the
Prefects are incharge of the school. They will petrol and confiscate any unnecessary devices from you.
Here's the map of the school made by me.
This is not drawn to scale, and it is not drawn completely. These are the places that I had explored
On the
SECOND FLOOR (top floor)
If you cant see it, just click on the image.
The Form 6 only consist of the second floor, so we have our own turf.
We are seperated from the Secondary Classes by the Uniform.
They wear
blue pants/skirts.
We where
green.
Okay I will let show you what the number on the map shows.
1) My Registration Room/ General Paper ClassroomRoom Number 28A registration room is the room where you take your attendance. The teacher is called your group tutor, which is quite similar to a class teacher.
Different groups are assigned at different registration room, allocated throughout teh school premises.
Your group will be in the form of
Pre-U X HY/SYwhere X is 1 for lower sixth (junior) and 2 is for upper sixth (senior)
and Y is the level in Art/Humanitarian (H) Class or Science (S) Class.
Example:
Pre-U1 S5This room is where I have my General Paper class. An air-conditionised room.
2) Maths ClassRoom Number 36This room is where I have my Maths class. An air-conditionised room.
3)Homework CornerFor some teachers, this is the place where we
submit our homeworks. Each teacher have
boxes for the students in each set of the subject to submit.
This is where i submit my Maths and Physic homeworks.
4) The Physic LabA place where we do our
practical experiments in Physics.
5) Englis LiteratureScience Room 1The room where i study E-Lit. It has
no aircon6) PhysicScience Room 2The room for my Physic Class. This is
the hottest room in the school
(said by my maths teacher)
7) The canteen
The relax place for the students during their PS. There are two stalls
A stall owned by an aunt of an
I Love Kb skatecrew member, which means that the vendors are skaters.
A stall owned by the
Indons, which is more popular because of their
teh tarik shake,
milo shake and
pop ice.If you are unlucky, you will never find any empty seat here.
This is the place where the
clans grouped together.
8) The LibraryWanna do your homework? Here's the best place for you.The second floor has these
cubicles where you can do your homework privately.
9) The Entrance/ Waiting areaIf you are waiting for transport, this place is packed with students waiting for a ride home.
10) The ChinatownAhh, yes. A PS area
Conqured by the students from
Chung Hwa or
Chung Ching.Or chinese
They have conquered this place for years now, and no one had tried and succesfully taken the territory.
But they are friendly. =)The popular clans here are the
Chinatowns and the
PJN school. There is also a place called
Malay Town or
Kampung Ayer on the second floor right below chinatown , but it isnt as favourable as Chinatown.
You will hardly meet any of your friends unless they are in the same class with you or share the same
PS set with you.
Thats my first report about my school at
SMSA.
